  • We Provide a full range of injecting equipment including needles and syringes for steroid use.
  • Hepatitis B and C testing and also HIV testing.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination.
  • Safer injecting advice and wound care advice.
  • Condoms and links to sexual health nurses and pregnancy testing.
  • Drugs advice and referrals for treatment as well as signposting for other advice, e.g. Housing/Shelter

Oldham Drug and Alcohol service
(ODAS) is the primary treatment service for people living in the borough of Oldham
who are having problems related to their Drug or Alcohol use.
We offer a range of treatment options including:

  • Substitute prescribing programmes.
  • Detoxification programmes.
  • On-ward referral.
  • Advice and information.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination.
  • Hepatitis C testing.
  • Counselling and support.

We are a free service, with an open referral system including self referral.
There is also a women only drop-in running on a Monday afternoon.

Monday afternoon only 1pm to 4.45pm

This is Oldham Drug and Alcohol service for females only.
There are female only waiting areas.
Female staff if you want to discuss drug & alcohol use.
These afternoon sessions are open to all female substance users, you do not need to be in any treatment programme to attend.
If you are not in treatment and would like to know what options are available to you,
or if you require advice on harm reduction, a female worker will be there to discuss these matters.
There is female only needle exchange and advice on safer injecting.
There is a Drug-liaison midwife.
Also various activities including health information,
nail & beauty sessions and arts & craft taster sessions.

Meetings Wednesday 2 till 3 pm

The User Forum Oldham (UFO) group meets every Wednesday from 2 pm to 3 pm.
This is a service user consultation group, where drug and alcohol clients are asked their opinions of the treatment service available in Oldham.
Clients do not have to be in treatment to attend.
